Sports Mind
It is important to keep sports mind in the Olympics that are just sports international festival. But , some countries consider as symbols of power, athletes are supported by government with high investment. Sometimes it is not individual game, because athletes keep each the flag of own country. Ironically, as the values of the Olympics are getting bigger to the people, the athletes are not able to avoid of temptation of doping. The winners of Olympics will be heroes in their country, even though the Olympic give just the good medal and small money. The honor of victory in the Olympics make them stable life in financial situation. The both honor and money are come from the Olympics. The Olympics have to be international festival through sports without commercial purpose and political intention. When we watch a great athletic who overcome his(her) limitation, we are touched by him(her). Constant exercises and practice make athletic strong for winner in game. But, it is true that strong sponsors make athletes strongly happy without worrying a real life.

Flexibility in Business
Since business today moves so quickly and is ever changing, it is so important to work with flexibility in global business world. In order to make balance between work and outside of life, the employees who have ability to make profits for a business deserve flexibility from company. On the other hand, in order to make maximum profits, the employers have right to fire employees with flexibility for an effectively running business. I want to discuss flexibility in business.
First, the employees have right to use flexibility in work place if they are excellent workers. According to this article, “Flexibility equals productivity”, the author, Tory Johnson(2006), insists that flexibility is the efficient way to balance work and outside life in views of employees. Especially, women are working increasingly in modern times and high technology makes workers flexible in business. Both big reasons make flexibility in workplace. The employers have to help employee’s happiness by listening to their requirements. For example, if you are skillful employee, you can make an alternative schedule for your convenience in the company and you can stay home with computer and high-speed Internet access. If you are house wife, you can deduct the hours for mom’s hand for the family because skillful employees are very precious sources in company. So, you had better appear to your boss with powerful performance to attract your boss. And it’s important to make proposal to the problem with research, benchmarks, trial period.
Second, the employers have right to use flexibility in business for maximizing profit. The young people have to get ability to adapt to business world. In views of the owner, since the flexibility of employment is very important to run business, it is natural to fire lazy workers who can’t provide profits to the company any more . Business is not charity to give money to the employees for free. It is impossible to get stable job in changeable business world. The employers tend to use excellent workers, fire incompetence workers based on their accomplishments. This is also flexibility in running business. According to article, “People power grips France”, French people power against this flexibility of employers. The countries of capitalism follow the tendency of flexibility of business, while French eventually failed to pass new contracts of flexibility in business. This means that business situation is very poor at running business because it is difficult to hire new excellent workers for the workplace for profitability instead of incompetent one.
In competitive business world, the flexible change is inevitable to the employers and employees for high profitability and happiness. Not only the employees are able to move to a new job by good conditions for individual satisfaction, but also the employers are able to choose good workers for high profitability. Flexibility is the best way to make balance between profitability and happiness in business world.

Learning English- No Pain No Gain
English has became a global language. It is very important to speak English fluently to communicate with other countries. The author insists that Korean students who study English abroad must use it in total daily for effective learning English, and I agree that author’s idea that the Korean students try to grab English anytime anywhere in their life.
According to this article, “Learning English in ESL program”, the author insists that Korean students have to speak English anytime, anywhere. The serious problem is connected to life outside ESL. Some Korean students have tendency to be together for forgetting isolation. Even though Korean students are in America, they gather to be together and communicate in Korean frequently. It is easy to speak Korean with friends, but it is ineffective to learn English even though they are in America. Furthermore, Korean students have to understand the culture of America. He also emphasizes that Korean students are willing to experience culture of America. The author suggests extra efforts to improve English and understanding such as having foreign roommate, conquering shyness for communicating in English, participating both Korean church and American church, listening radio, watching television, reading newspapers. It is important to think like Americans for understanding language. It is a effective to live in English for learning English, if you can.
The author clearly state his position on the problem of learning English in America. Even though Korean students stay in ESL in America, it is very important to try to experience English through direct experience and understand culture in daily life. I think that the author clearly explain the problem because the author give specific explanation for learning English. Furthermore, the author explains the problem well by using easy vocabulary and explanations for learning English so that the readers can understand clearly. As a newspaper, it naturally avoids unfamiliar abbreviations, words, terms, and concepts for general people. But it is not academic for research papers; there are no specific survey output. It is difficult to find accurate facts which have been examined by survey. In other words, the author does not give enough evidence.
It is very important to live in English day by day for learning English. Even though learners who want to learn English face the pain that makes them feel stupid in using English like stupid people, they have to focus on learning English and living like Americans. As time goes by, they will gain English in their lives.

Global Warming
we are generated by our skill and wisdom against great nature and we have accomplished a brilliant culture and civilization as a master of nature by using nature or conquering nature. Our civilization has developed rapidly since industry revolution by power of science. We live in high technology area and we have faced inevitable environment pollution. Especially, global warming is serious problem that is not able to discover solution alone. We can see the strange disasters such as repeated heat waves, massive drought, flood, hurricane since 1988. I want to say about reducing air pollution and cooperation of nations for solving a global warming problem.
First, we have to reduce air pollution. According to this article, “Is it too late to stop the warming?” Scientists like Hansen and Emanuel believe that our burning of oil and coal make exhaust emission such as carbon dioxide that traps the sun’s heat in the atmosphere. The emission of carbon dioxide has increased rapidly since the beginning of the Industrial Revolution. Carbon dioxide make not only air pollution but also food pollution. Furthermore, the carbon escaping into the atmosphere would cause more greenhouse warming that make disaster that man made such as strange storm, violent hurricane, drought. There is nothing free in the world. It’s a trade off! We live in convenience by skill, but we have to pay wisdom to general value such as peace in the world. So, We have to reduce carbon dioxide by using bicycle, planting tree, doing recycling in daily life and have to discover alternative clean energy.
Second, we have to support scientist to study “global warming” for ourselves.
According the this article, “Air trends amplifying warming,” the author says “between 1950s and 1980s, the amount of solar energy penetrating through the atmosphere to the Earth’s surface appeared to be declining, by about 2% per decade…” as we called “global dimming” But some scientist points that Reduced air pollution and increased water evaporation stimulate to man-made global warming. “global brightening” is adding to the impact of human greenhouse emissions since 1980, because most country try to reduce air pollution in atmosphere. Even though we try reducing air pollution, why does global warming still continue on? In order to solve global warming, scientists try to do experimental investigation in ocean and tropic area and developing country. It needs cooperative works to get information through computer from nature’s movement for human being.
In conclusion, it seems difficult to control this problem because of our desire of convenience and lacking of knowing nature. The common people have to restrain pollution material to air and scientists study more in environmental fields and nations have to be cooperative for protecting the earth as being one.

It is not easy to open mind to other religions, because I have one religion that teaches the one way to go to the truth. How should I believe something, while admitting other religions? It is interesting to know other religions: Vineyard movement, Mormon and Islam. I have learned the fact that they also chase the truth as various styles.
First, I am interested in vineyard movement that is oriented Jesus Christ. It seems that vineyard church does not like the traditional and meaningless activity. It is important value to communicate with God in daily life. As I know, my church also emphasize that side in daily life. It looks challengeable to the traditional christan life. The God gives the present, Spirit of God in present. Nevertheless we make numberless mistakes everyday, the God forgives us everyday with great love. What a fantastic idea! But it is not easy to make intimacy with God in my daily life. I am very busy, so I have no time to listen voice of God. Where is my holy spirit from God? Who knows?
Second, I am sorry because I have a negative feeling to Mormon. It comes from their polygamy in marriage style. Believing comes from hearing, knowing the knowledge of God, so I scare to know their ideas, because I am not strong christan who is vulnerable to be influenced by strong mission. During listening Mormon presentation, I am a little bit sad, because I can’t open mind to Mormon. If I open mind to them, I will become confused much with accumulated traditional knowledge of my Bible.
Third, it is curious to know Islam. There are several students from Islam. They have same religion. What makes them unite in religion? They have same God who I believe with another name. They also follow the way reaching to God with love, mercy, hope, courage as a beautiful message. If there are conflicts between Chris tan and Islam, who does get the power of God? The wise answer is that strong guy will be winner.
In conclusion, I learned that each religion has particular features, but the final goal is same to make human being peaceful with general value such as hope, love, patience, temperance, sacrifice, selfless, As I know, God is love! So, don’t fight each other because of differences.

To be or To have
It is difficult to be without a high technology in modern life. In order to survive, we have to get information through the digital skills, because modern life is rapidly changing. Our regular education systems try to teach the general value to the students, but actually it is very difficult to make them wise in a real life, because they are plugged in high digital world. I want to say about how to be in modern life without electric stuffs such as cell phone, TV, Mp3 and computer.
First, it is important to have rules in family. Especially kids and young children are easy to addict to computer game. It is necessary to monitor their addiction about computer games, it means that parents have to have interests to the young children. The education of family is very important to educate them wisely. Actually computer is a wonderful thing that human invented in human history. It makes us search good information speedy, but it also give us bad information to ruin our mental health. The information has to be filtered for young children, and it needs to make a new moral in high technology.
Second, young children sometimes tend to be slaves of high technology. They are likely to have high digital stuffs such as multi phone, new Mp3 that stimulate them to buy. It seems that they are slave of materialism. They have got problems to communicate each other without digital instruments. We can see the technology eventually change their lives. They are good at do multitasking, and they want to be plugged in digital world. It seems to difficult to make them to read books to make them analogue world.
Third, there are some problems in our life it is difficult to communicate between the young and the old. The young people are very busy to do multitasking, and there are no time to communicate something with the old people. Also, the old people orient traditional value yet, so they meet conflicts in our real life. Some old people try to learn new high technology to communicate with young people. The old generation has to change their value for young generation as well as the young has to be taught by them.

Skill and Wisdom
In this essay, Education for a Difficult World, Bertrand Russell explains his ideas of modern good education. Russell believes that a suitable education can help young people understand problems and evaluate solutions of a difficult world. I agree his idea that we have to learn the general in the particular to understand each other for good human progress.
The modern society wants knowledge of specialization to solve its problems, but the problems seem to be mysterious to most people because of their complexity, so it also needs to become more cooperative than before in searching solution to the problems. Modern education is likely to teach more skills of high technological development to solve the problems than wisdom which educators taught before, but skill does not show what should be done to the people. He emphasizes our high technique of science must bring disaster unless our feelings become more co-operative. According to Russell, teaching history and literature to young people is good way to understand mankind for good human progress. Every education should teach the general in the particular.
I agree that it is important to teach not only skills but also history and literature for the young people. First, learning history is good way to understand human beings. History shows us various pictures to check a way to a solution like looking mirror. Just as, we can check our faces when we look the mirror for make up, we need mirror to see our faces, because the mirror can show our face. History shows us our past story to show who we are. Knowing history is wisdom to search for solutions to the present problems and future problems. We can find the way to understand human beings by knowing the facts of yesterday. There are distinguishable facts in history, and they have common truth such as we are a same human being who is not forever in the world. We can see not only the relationship between the cause and the result and know solution in history.
Second, learning literature is also a good way to understand who we are. Literature is life. Than means that it shows us our various characters during appreciating it. The various characters in literature represent our shapes; they have the precious value for human being. Experience is very important to know something and to accumulate wisdom. There are two kinds of experiences such as direct experience and indirect experience. Literature make us possible to have indirect experiences for understanding ourselves and others.
Third, teaching skill and wisdom is education. Education is to stimulate effectively the learner’s potential to solve their problems. Considering life is searching answers to own problems, we have to know skill and wisdom for the solution. Even though we know the facts, we sometimes focus on achieving skills in modern life. Because high technology skills are profitable for a material life, some young people tend to study high technology for good jobs, but just skill is dangerous to us even if they have the sense of balance that keeps harmony of logical thinking and emotional thinking.

Skill and Wisdom
In this essay, Education for a Difficult World, Bertrand Russell explains his ideas of modern good education. Russell believes that a suitable education can help young people understand problems and evaluate solutions of a difficult world. I agree his idea that we have to learn the general in the particular to understand each other for good human progress.
The modern society wants knowledge of specialization to solve its problems, but the problems seem to be mysterious to most people because of their complexity, so it also needs to become more cooperative than before in searching solution to the problems. Modern education is likely to teach more skills of high technological development to solve the problems than wisdom which educators taught before, but skill does not show what should be done to the people. He emphasizes our high technique of science must bring disaster unless our feelings become more co-operative. According to Russell, teaching history and literature to young people is good way to understand mankind for good human progress. Every education should teach the general in the particular.
I agree that it is important to teach not only skills but also history and literature for the young people. First, learning history is good way to understand human beings. History shows us various pictures to check a way to a solution like looking mirror. Just as, we can check our faces when we look the mirror for make up, we need mirror to see our faces, because the mirror can show our face. History shows us our past story to show who we are. Knowing history is wisdom to search for solutions to the present problems and future problems. We can find the way to understand human beings by knowing the facts of yesterday. There are distinguishable facts in history, and they have common truth such as we are a same human being who is not forever in the world. We can see not only the relationship between the cause and the result and know solution in history.
Second, learning literature is also a good way to understand who we are. Literature is life. Than means that it shows us our various characters during appreciating it. The various characters in literature represent our shapes; they have the precious value for human being. Experience is very important to know something and to accumulate wisdom. There are two kinds of experiences such as direct experience and indirect experience. Literature make us possible to have indirect experiences for understanding ourselves and others.
Third, teaching skill and wisdom is education. Education is to stimulate effectively the learner’s potential to solve their problems. Considering life is searching answers to own problems, we have to know skill and wisdom for the solution. Even though we know the facts, we sometimes focus on achieving skills in modern life. Because high technology skills are profitable for a material life, some young people tend to study high technology for good jobs, but just skill is dangerous to us even if they have the sense of balance that keeps harmony of logical thinking and emotional thinking.

Pandora and Polygamy
According to this article, Pandora and Polygamy, Polygamy is one of alternative lifestyles in modern life. It has been emerging like gay marriage. In the beginning of time, there were a lots of negative feeling to gay marriage, but it became alternative marriage style against a traditional marriage. HBO series "Big Love" stimulate union of polygamists as well as give the power to them to emerge in the world like gay marriage. The author, Charles Krauthammer reveals him agnostic, because he does not want to change traditional rule of marriage rapidly and he does not want to make claim to polygamy for equal respect. Even though I understand their alternative of marriage, I don’t want to be polygamist. Further more, government try to censor the media such as HBO that make influence on society. There are three reason to censor the media for healthy society.
First, mass media can influence on society. The power of mass media can change society with a beautiful expression of polygamy. Knowing and understanding polygamy are easy way to be open to polygamy by mass media. Even though we can have sympathy to them, it is not acceptable to the healthy society. One man and one woman marriage style is an important rule to protect family from destroying cosmos in the world. The mass media have to work for public health and happiness.
Second, young people and rich people are vulnerable to be open to that kind of program. Considering the importance of mass media, it is evil to the young people. Some young men envy that marriages without logical thinking. Because they don't have rules to control themselves from a unique marriage. Especially, it seems difficult for rich men to hide their desire to the beautiful women. The mass media has to be careful to stimulate basic instincts like animal.
Third, it is necessary to censor mass media for fair distribution of sex. It is unfair to have a lot of wives, while some poor guy can not marry with women for lacking money. Even though the principle of world is not fair, is full of ironies, we try to be fair and try to have plant seeds in our heart. Can you see the perfect thing in your life? There are no perfect marriage style, so we had better choose traditional marriage style that make few troubles in our society.
In conclusion, the government and people have to censor the media for healthy society because we made a rule, we have to follow it. It deserves to censor it for our harmonious world. Please don't open pandora.

Polygamist in modern life
What makes people polygamists today? I want to know the reasons why some women want to be a wife of polygamists. I think that polygamous style of marriage could be acceptable to the certain groups who share same religious goal. What makes it possible to maintain the families stable? The man who has a lot of wives must be rich and healthy for sharing himself. Is it a proof of strong guy?
We could see various marriage styles in history of human being. In the beginning of time, several husbands had to share one wife, because man exposed to the danger of nature much. In order to generate the new age, it seems inevitable, so polygamists is inevitable to the some people in modern life? Everything is changing! Who knows it is ideal marriage for healthy society!
